John Walsh is the Senior Vice President of Finance and Strategy for the Madison Square Garden Company in New York City where he supports the day-to-day operations of the World’s Most Famous Arena, Radio City Music Hall, the Chicago Theater and the Forum in Los Angeles.  He also works on the development of a new and innovative entertainment arena in Las Vegas called The Sphere.

Prior to his role with MSG, John spent 18 years with the Walt Disney Company in various Finance executive roles supporting theme parks, resorts, technology, back-of-house operations, food & beverage, merchandise, capital planning and other key strategic areas. He also helped launch Disney’s streaming video service, Disney+.

John’s real passion (some call it a side hustle) is being the founder and leader of StandoutX, which is his new startup company aimed at helping students and young professionals stand out when it matters most.  His book, The Standout Experience, will be available in August and he travels to schools, companies and communities as a keynote speaker, guest lecturer and seminar leader to help the next generation achieve happiness and success early and often in their career and in life.

John also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Partners Federal Credit Union, which is a $2B credit union serving the financial needs of Disney employees around the world.  John and his wife live in Orlando with their three beautiful children and new Labrador puppy, Nyxie.
